Detecting faulty third party upsell app

Through Uptime’s white glove onboarding, we recorded over 10 unique test flows to simulate real customer interactions with the online store – such as adding upsells to cart, quick-adding products to cart, and proceeding to checkout. In the last 30 days alone, these tests have run over 1,100 times, ensuring these critical customer journeys are functioning correctly.

Just 2-weeks after installing the Uptime app, Built and the Prismfly team received alerts for two test flows which were testing the ability to add upsells to cart on both the product page and the cart page.

After receiving the alert and viewing the screenshot taken at the time of failure, it was immediately apparent that the upsell app which displays recommended products under the 'We also recommend you to add' heading was not working.
With this knowledge in hand, Prismfly was able to immediately notify their client that one of their third party apps was not working, and begin the process of resolving the issue. Without Uptime this issue could have lingered for days, impacting the client AOV and costing them thousands in lost revenue.
